On Improving the Affinity and Pertinence of Ideological and Political Education Courses

Abstract: Courses for Ideological and Political Education are the main channel and position of college students' ideology and politics
education. Teachers have to be student-oriented and improve the quality of teaching in order to make the courses more infectious and
fruitful. The course of Ideological and Moral Cultivation is one of the basic courses in the Ideological and Political Education, which is
most closely related to students' campus life and social realities, and therefore should be put at the forefront of reform. Based on a
review of teaching reforms in the Ideological and Moral Cultivation courses, the present article proposes some noteworthy problems and
difficulties in the reform of Ideological and Political Education. Under the current favorable social and environmental conditions, the
school's policy support and better management are needed. Teachers also need to be further trained, to improve and innovate, and to
further enhance their sense of professional consciousness and dedication.
